Firstly i’m a Ryan Gosling fan so this movie would interest me. It looks like a lively entertaining movie…and a lot quicker in pace than R.G’s previous roles. Keeping the movie short and focused is an important element. Its so easy to doze off watching unfocused movies. I would definitely watch this one. Thank you for the review. I always find it helps me choose more effectively…………………

Thank you for another great movie review. Firstly i’m not a huge fan of British movies, i could count on one hand, those that i’ve watched over the years. I do however like Jim Broadbent, i have seen him in British sitcoms and he did a fine job as Bridget Jones Dad in Bridget Jones Diary. This movie had couples and people whose lives intertwined in some way..and a variety of different personalities. I also liked that there was enjoyment got from spending time in the garden. I too am not a fan of drama, and sometimes i cannot comprehend why people waste so much thinking about ex-partners. Its gone, in the past, move on….its very simple. I do feel bad for the character who wants to hook up with Mary and she is not interested. Is it wrong to believe in the saying…..’some day you’ll realise that you lost a diamond while collecting stones’ ? Additionally i also agree that you dont have to be with someone to be happy. I do feel society puts a lot of pressure on people to be in relationships. I believe know and love yourself first, and then everything else will fall into place. I would definitely rent this movie. I like the characters and theme. I think this movie would have alot to teach someone.

Thanks for another great review!.. I have to say i do like movies that have an element of ‘intrigue’!…From the trailer, i could see how the storyline was changing, and a
‘twist and turn’ feature was emerging…and i was suddenly thinking…’i wonder how this is going to end’?….Im not a fan of movies that are too ‘complicated’…i like to be able to keep track of whats going on and keep it simple. Others may not agree but when i think of ‘complication’ i think …”The DaVinci Code”. I would certainly rent this movie..i too like some of the characters!… Your reviews are always extremely helpful and a great guide when making decisions about movies….:)

Thank you! I am not too crazy about Ryan Gosling as he is just a “pretty boy” but the other actors I mentioned did an excellent job. It is a short movie which is another reason why I liked it. It is just 100 minutes. I am not too crazy about movies over 2 hours as I have a limited attention span.

Nice Review. As you know I like intelligent movies as well as old Westerns and Crime movies. Nothing new because I believe the actors are not very good in many cases or the movie is fluff. However your review appeals to people like me and I now may actually rent this.
